Fresh out of jail, the Dead Presidents MC Sargent at Arms, Marcus "Havoc" Wilson, is trying to lay low and keep his PTSD-induced temper under control while helping other military veterans rejoin society. In search of relaxation techniques, Havoc stumbles upon an alluring bookstore owner with a violent past of her own who's able to calm him down in ways he's never experienced.
Julia Edwards gave up her life of privilege the minute she tried to kill her ex-husband, and she doesn't want it—or him—back. As a small Seattle bookstore owner, she's determined to spend her days hidden between the covers of romance novels until her real-life fantasy appears and shakes up her entire existence.
Can these two attempted murderers find peace together? Or will the loose ends from their pasts unravel their future?

This is Havoc and Julia’s story. When we first met Havoc he was in jail for beating the crap out of a rapist in Link’d Up. Julia grew up very rich and the exact opposite of how Havoc did. She has distanced herself from her family after she divorced her cheating husband. She now runs a bookstore, and that is where she meets Havoc. Both are struggling to change some things about themselves that they don’t like. Will they be able to help each other overcome those demons or accept them as part of who they are? There is intrigue and action in this book. I really enjoyed it.
I love Harley Stone. Havoc is the perfect balance of good guy sweetie pie and bad boy biker.
Havoc and Julie
I am so in love with Harley Stone’s writing style. They are characters I can very easily relate to, laugh with and love. The men of the Dead Presidents MC are some of my all time favorite men. I adore the camaraderie between all those men.
Julie was not quite what I was expecting in a heroine, but she is the perfect match for Havoc. Havoc was introduced in Link'd Up, and he is known for having a wee bit of a temper. After all, it is Havoc's attempted murder charge that basically brings Link and Emily together. But Havoc is trying to do better, as he is trying his hand at growing flowers. That doesn't go so well and that's how Havoc meets Julie.
These two are highly entertaining. Julie's temper is about as bad as Havoc's. And Julie LOVES to push his buttons. This is book 2. Can it be read as a stand-alone? I think it could, but I also think it would be much more enjoyable to start this series at the beginning if you haven't already. And if you like MC books, I highly recommend the Dead Presidents MC.
