When the space travelers return to earth 63 years later, earth time, accompanied by an alien trade delegation seeking America's "miraculous" antibiotics to cure their world of a devastating pandemic, they find an earth decimated by war and climate change and governed by a radical group determined to destroy both the voyagers and the alien's home planet.
