Strengthens Our Understanding of Contemporary Chinese Politics
As someone who studies Global Politics, Political Economy, Theory and other general studies pertaining to the vast array of fields existing within Political Science, this book is great at providing an analysis into contemporary Chinese politics. Though obviously centered around a Chinese bias, a critique of policies, both past and present, endures. Arguably, Xi’s self-reflection and vision of the future of China, as presented in the book, is also one that aims to drive our understanding of the interworkings of Global Capital, Markets, and Hegemony and the Chinese Communist Party - and more specifically - what that means for Chinese Socialism in the 21st Century.
