“Absolutely unputdownable! Roni Loren is a new favorite.”—COLLEEN HOOVER, #1 New York Times bestseller, for The One You Can’t Forget
She’s a viral sensation with a hidden fear. He’s the last person she expected to help her find her voice.
Hollyn Tate is a viral reviewer known as Miz Poppy: funny, fearless, and everywhere in New Orleans nightlife. No one knows she’s also a woman living with Tourette’s, battling daily anxiety, and terrified of being seen. When her editor demands she step out from behind the screen—or lose her job—Hollyn is forced to confront everything she’s spent years avoiding.
Then comes Jasper Deares: actor, improv star, and way too charming for Hollyn’s peace of mind. He offers to help her through her fear using the only tool he has—improv. What starts as awkward games becomes something far more intimate. And when Hollyn begins to drop her defenses, she starts to imagine a life where she doesn’t have to hide at all.
Yes & I Love You is a slow-burn, emotionally rich romantic comedy about what happens when the person you least expect teaches you how to show up as your whole self. With smart banter, powerful neurodivergent representation, and a heartfelt romance built on trust and vulnerability, this story celebrates the kind of love that doesn’t ask you to change—only to say yes.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
With this charming contemporary romance, Loren (The One for You) delivers a thoroughly satisfying, slow-burning account of a relationship that feels both inevitable and earned. New Orleans blogger Hollyn Tate is a local favorite as Miz Poppy, her nom de plume, but her Tourette's syndrome and anxiety make it difficult to have a social life outside of her online persona. Then she meets part-time barista and improv actor Jasper Deares, who's funny, hot, and totally into her, tics and all. Relationship-shy Jasper, who has ADHD, offers to be a "practice boyfriend" for lonely Hollyn, and the pair embark on an enthusiastic friends-with-benefits arrangement though media-savvy Hollyn knows how this sort of plot usually works out. The sex is great, the companionship is a welcome change, and soon enough, the two catch real feelings for one another. But when success and stardom beckon, their individual careers threaten to tear them apart. Hollyn and Jasper have excellent chemistry, both socially and sexually, and they talk through their issues in a refreshingly mature fashion. Hollyn's Tourette's and Jasper's ADHD are depicted sensitively without overwhelming the rest of the story, while a fleshed-out supporting cast further brings the world to life. Intelligent, sweet, and fun, this romance succeeds on all levels.
Customer Reviews
A romcom with a touch of modern depth
A spicy romance that goes all the places you hope it will. I really appreciated how mental health and Tourette’s were incorporated into the story line, giving some depth to the story and awareness around these realities. The social anxiety component inspired my own introverted self to live more like the main character. Was it cheesy? Yes. Was it over the top in moments? Yes. Did I fly through it and feel all cozy inside, filled with love and hope for humanity? Absolutely.
Yes & keep turning the pages
Very cute storyline with unexpected twists! The pages kept turning wanting to find out will they or won’t they make it to the very end.
Witty, contemporary romance!
Yes & I love You is a distinctive contemporary romance. It is beautifully written with witty dialogue and imperfect characters. Hollyn and Jasper will tug at your heart strings while making you blush. Not doubt you’ll cheer the ending!
Can’t wait for book 2!
