I really enjoyed the latest installment to the Kingsman football series. I don’t know why it didn’t click with me in book one, but I remember Brady as a child in his parents, book, Mad About the Banker. I was super excited to have cameos of Jasper and Lennon in this story!
This book had it all. Single dad, sport star, second chance, and, of course, falling in love with the nanny. Theo had to be the cutest child of probably almost any book that I’ve read in the past few years. He was simply adorable, and really moved the story along part, kind of like Brady did in his parents’ book. Violet was really smart and sassy, but she was also shy, especially at first when she realizes who she is nannying for.
I like the way, Theo’s mom Hannah was written. It would’ve been really easy to make her the harpy ex/villain, but I am glad that wasn’t the path that the authors took. I know that Brady was kind of written as a bit of a playboy in book one, but seeing as how this book really concentrated on his relationship with his son, I think that Piper Rayne did a great job of portraying him as a mature man, without sacrificing the playful and naughtiness of his relationship with Violet.
I’m loving this series, and I cannot wait to dive into Chase’s book. I think that one is really going to end up being my favorite. Although, I say that about every book!
