A New York Times bestseller and a “charming tribute” (Kirkus) to Hollywood’s most beloved era
Film and television star Robert Wagner has been delighting audiences for more than sixty years, and his many fans flocked to bookstores when he began to record his memories on the page. In his second New York Times bestseller, Wagner shares stories of Hollywood life behind the scenes from the 1930s through the 1950s. As poignant as it is revealing—and filled with magical moments like Judy Garland singing Gershwin at a dinner party thrown by Clifton Webb and golf games with Fred Astaire—You Must Remember This is Wagner’s tender farewell to a legendary era.

Had high expectations because of his "inside" knowledge and longevity in the business. However, it read more like a real estate and restaurant history of Beverly Hills than real insights into the legends of Hollywood. I think he was very careful not to offend anyone. But most of the information seemed to be a "redo" from other bios. It's something to read on vacation, especially if your in La Quinta. BTW RJ, it's Montecatini Terme. My mom grew up in that town. I bet you stayed at La Pace on Corso Roma.

This is a must read for anyone interested in social and geographical Hollywood history. Absorbing description of what Hollywood was like "back in the day" and how it has changed. Wagner is a class act, and learned great lessons from his elders in Hollywood--both what to do and what not to do. Interesting true stories, retold legends, and just great history for people who have an interest in preserving old Hollywood, at least in memory. Bravo, and thanks, RJ.
