"Your Family Matters"
Amazing book written by a father about his family's journey surviving a troubled child. The story of this family's upheaval, their unwavering love and God given strength to never give up on praying for their child. A gamut of topics are touched such as the love of foster care, bi-racial families, heroes that choose adoption over abortion, teen pregnancy, depression, self-mutilation and domestic violence. What seems to be insurmountable odds and loss is overcome by applying scripture and Christ's example of his love for his children.
Some great quotes from this book:
“The gap between someone who is a drainer and someone who lifts others up with sincere words isn’t a chasm. It’s a two-second decision to speak a word that adds instead of subtracts. It’s a simple choice."
"To say I love God but despise some of the people He created is biblically incongruent"
"Grace took care of the race problem.”
