*****
Moving from California to a small town called Peculiar in the Ozark's with my BFF Chavvah Trimmel should’ve been a total fun-fest. But then her older brother goes missing and our plans are put on hold.
That is until she mysteriously texts me for help before going completely radio-silent.
I’d always heard small town people are friendly and welcoming, but that isn’t my experience. These locals are not only unfriendly, they're downright hostile.
Even Chavvah's hot younger brother Babel strongly suggests that I haul my butt back where I came from.
I’m undeterred.
I’m not about to go anywhere until I find out what happened to my bestie and her brother and solve the mystery this town is trying so hard to hide.
I may be psychic, but it doesn’t take a fortune teller to see things are about to get real hairy in Peculiar!
Peculiar Mysteries series from USA Today bestselling author Renee George are laugh-out-loud, grip the edge of your seat, and swoon as you fall in love tales of mystery, humor, and romance that take place in the small (fictional) Ozark shifter town of Peculiar, Missouri.

4 stars
Multiple genres within one book, but it works! Funny, snarky, sexy. Elements of romantic, platonic/friend, familial love, and soulmate love. And...suspense, mystery, horror. Can you believe all that fit in and worked? I was totally hooked.
Five⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for fun
The ending puts everything to rights and is touching as it does. The nature of the crime unrolls steadily to its final horrifyingly end. Then the villains receive their due justice and their victims get closure.
The characters are charming and a couple of them carry emotional
wounds.
The love story is predictable yet you will root for the lovers. The steamy part of their attraction has a couple of truly wonderfully steamy highlights.
But as important a part in the love story as their mutual desire plays, its frequency for me was, well, too frequent. The reminders are germane to the path they take toward their happy ending and fun. Just a tad overdone. I get it!
Really loved reading the book. I welcomed its light touch that never interfered with the human drama or the plot. A read to relax with.
