Zac is a zebra with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). But that won’t stop him and his brother, Ziggy, from missing the herd. In Zac’s Play Day, Zac teaches his friends about SMA, and ultimately, helps save the day!
Zac’s Play Day represents an experience related to a child living with SMA, and it is not meant to represent the experience of everyone living with SMA. The purpose of this story is to aid in the education about and awareness of SMA—to help explain the reality of life with the disease, including both the limitations and possibilities that some individuals may experience.

My daughter has SMA type 1 and it’s bipap dependent. This book it’s a great way to teach her friends and family about SMA in a fun but very educational way.
