Descripción editorial
This is a direct appeal from a sentence of death *fn1 imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County. Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of the first degree murder *fn2 and kidnapping *fn3 of Selina Franklin, and of the first degree murder *fn4 of Stephanie McDuffey. The jury found two aggravating circumstances *fn5 relating to each murder conviction which outweighed the six mitigating circumstances *fn6 and therefore returned two consecutive death sentences. Post-verdict motions were denied and the trial court imposed two death sentences for each of the first degree murder convictions and an additional 7 1/2 to 15 years imprisonment on the kidnapping conviction, all to run consecutively.
