I encountered a god on a planet that isn’t supposed to exist. Ancient Earth isn’t a myth after all. Turns out, so many of things taught to me were lies.

The Xemplar Church does not have my best interest at heart.

There actually are gods, and they’re jerks.

Oh, and because of something that happened eons ago, all life in the universe is about to be exterminated.

I never thought I’d be someone who went rogue on the religion that shaped me, or that I’d have the nerve to bully a god into doing the right thing. I most certainly never expected to love one.

But here I am, part of a group putting our lives on the line to avoid the culling of billions.

Will we succeed? I hope so, because it’s the only way I’ll find out if a happily ever after is possible with an immortal.

I know better than to get involved, however, she consumes my thoughts. Challenges my every word and action. Forces me to feel.
