This is a report on the flight from UK to Germany via Holland by modern sports plane to visit the annual Aviation Air Fair held at Friedrichshafen, Germany.


The Author, Deepak Mahajan, describes the interesting details of the flight there and back and includes a first person report on the new technology and ultra light personal planes seen on display.

"….When the grey waters of the wide canals merged with the dull sky, I told the ATC of our intention to find a hole in the clouds large enough to climb up. In a couple of minutes we found a suitable patch of bright blue and I climbed up through it into controlled airspace and with ATC help we were vectored from VOR to VOR, past Rotterdam then between Arnhem (‘A Bridge Too Far’) and Nijmegen, maintaining an odd thousands plus 500 feet flight level on our easterly journey towards our destination, Statdlohn Vreden EDLS on the German/Dutch Border for its famous Apfeltart, friendly customs and welcoming airport staff……."
