Failure to Adapt

A pilot is flying over a target zone to study its inhabitants when a mechanical failure forces him to descend.

Because of this, what seemed like a simple mission turns into a life-threatening situation; luckily, the pilot is helped by the locals in a way that he never expected.

While living among them, he learns valuable lessons that change his perspective on the world and his own life, changing it for the better. 

He basks in this, all while hoping to have a chance to find an element in his life that has eluded him since birth, but that he has never stopped dreaming about.

The soldier thinks on his sins as he acclimates to his new existence, where he allows himself to get involved in the glory of second chances, and even tries his hand at love.

Could it be that this new place grants him not only a new beginning, but also all the things his previous life lacked?
