Sometimes you need more than divine intervention when too many secrets are about to spill.

Having fallen to the bottom of the culinary ladder, acclaimed chef Martie Smurfit is determined to rise back to the top before a planned reunion with the boy she gave up for adoption sixteen years ago. She takes advantage of a desperate contractor whose dream of an Irish gastro-pub has fallen victim to his hubris, but Martie is too busy juggling the restaurant and her personal life to notice that Brendan has decided to bring in some outside financial help that he does not know they do not need.

When the investor proves to be an Irish gangster laundering money, Martie take action that she will soon regret when the police start sniffing around. She could turn to her partner for help, but does Manon really have her best interests at heart? Or is she trying to control Martie’s life, which will include a stretch in prison if Martie cannot find a way out of the mess she has concocted.
