Andrew Lang (31 March 1844 – 20 July 1912) is well-known as a collector of British folk and fairy tales, but he was a Victorian poet, novelist, academic and critic too. His poem had success, but he became famous published Andrew Lang's Fairy Books of Many Colors – series of twelve different colored collections of fairy tales books (1889-1910). It includes 437 tales from different countries and different cultures. 

Samba the Coward is a fairy tale published by Andrew Lang in The Olive Fairy Book in1907. On the side of the river Nile was the great country, there lived a king and his son called Samba. People of this country were brave and strong, but Samba, from the time he could walk, being afraid of everything. He had become a tall and strong youth, but his fears didn't vanish. What will happen with a young man who is such a coward one? Will he be able became brave, and who can help for his?
