The Story of an African Farm

What an amazing story, the themes of which are years ahead of its time. The description of life in the Karoo during the 19th Century is brought to life in the rich text. Reading the story led me to want to visit the Karoo and to learn more about the history of this region. I was absolutely enthralled from the first page to the last. Such vivid characterisations, and a story that evokes such emotions in the reader, from happiness to sadness, and everything between.
