White trash beautiful
This book kept me hooked! I read this isles than 24 hours I couldn't put it down. I picked it up thinking it was nothing more than a fifty shade of grey or bared to you rip off... It was much more and I can not wait till the next one!
I found white trash to be over dramatic and full of excuses. Nothing about Cass was beautiful.
Some people need saving while others need rescuing. Cass needs saving and Tucker is the guy who is going to save her. Tucker dines in the diner Cass works at and wants to protect her from her crappy life. Cass is stuck in this town and in this life. Cass feels trapped in her relationship with Jax. She has no where to go and no money to leave. Cass has financial problems and suffers from the beatings by her boyfriend Jax.
Tucker arrives in town for a concert to become her knight and shining armor. Apparently, Cass needs to reach her breaking point before she realizes she deserves a better life than the one she currently has.
The story is depressing with Cass reflecting on her past and current life. Cass is not a happy girl and it exudes unhappiness for the reader as well. I look to read for an escape, but this is too much. Cass is weak and makes excuses for Jax. She is a people pleaser, yet does not want other people's pity or help. How else is she going to survive on her own and get away is she does not accept help? Accepting help does not make you weak. Staying in a bad situation makes you weak.
Unfortunately, I embrace the words but not the connection of the characters. I just can't find the rhythm I need to get attached. I felt no emotional connection to Cass because she was too over dramatic.
It's a sad situation that Cass is in but she formulated one yo many excuses and it hot old. I Gould not be behind her logic for pushing away Tucker when all he wanted to do is love and protect her.
