Everyone thinks that once they retire they can do as they please, and enjoy the good life. This booklet has much to say about retirement and how it should be used, and viewed, especially by the people of God. The best chances for mission, and service to Christ are available for retired people. This book is a call of God to those people to take up their cross.

It is also a call to younger people to change the way they view their older years. They are encouraged to see their "retirement is in Heaven." They are encouraged to plan their lives accordingly to live for Him now, and plan for later so Christ has a long life of service and so they properly use the talents given to them.
