Better and better
The Adam Lapid mysteries just get better and better. As the series progresses, the books maintain their readability but discover a new depth. There’s something so engaging about Adam’s physically and emotionally spartan existence, and his real resilience in the face of gut wrenching challenge. The post World War II politics have resonances with the current state of the Middle East, and Tel Aviv and Jerusalem of the period are revoked with vivid veracity. I can smell Greta’s coffee! Next one please, Jonathan!
Didn’t want the story to end
Great novel filled with many twists and turns. I just didn’t want the story to end.
