In A Decent Ride, we’re treated to an unobstructed view of “Juice” Terry Lawson: a sex-crazed cab driver who’s been given doctor’s orders to cool it. Irvine Welsh’s trademark slangy voice heightens the mayhem of Lawson’s journey as he gets pulled into the search for a missing sex worker named Jinty. Traversing Edinburgh’s underbelly, Lawson meets a Donald Trump-like tycoon/reality TV star with a thirst for extremely rare whisky, develops a passion for Moby Dick and trades his bedroom kinks for golf links.

Brilliant book
What can be said other than its another brilliant book by a brilliant author. I have loved every single one of his books and including this one. Read in a couple days. Now just disappointed I have to wait until the next book comes out!
Hmmm
Read this a few years ago and think I somewhat enjoyed it. Just finished a re read and really torn. While I love the writing style and Irvine Welsh’s other books, I think I really hate the main character. It’s all generally pretty nasty material and if any of it were taken seriously would have to be considered pretty sick. Won’t ever be getting a third run
