A Widows Secret
November 22, 2018
I am a complete fan of this author and once again she delivered a western story that
is a beautiful love story with interesting characters. This is one of those stories that you
just can't put down.A era where women were put into untenable situations beyond
their control, where men's word was law.Reading of how Elianna had to struggle just
to survive was heartbreaking.Abandoned by her parents at an early age,she knew
nothing beyond neglect and abuse.Escaping such a life was not easy on the young
Elianna, but with her life at risk, the choice was simple.Elianna had similar luck in
marriage as well and by the time she met Colonel Ethan Cahill, she had buried two
husbands.Elianna was no wilting flower, she was strong and courageous despite
her very chequered past.Ethan was a dominant man but he encouraged Elianna
to live out her dreams and passion. The depth of their love was tested in so many
ways but triumphed against all odds. This story is full of emotions, danger, lust,
secrets, desire and one woman's fight for justice.
Ms Starr created anticipation in every aspect of this book,it's a must and absorbing
read.
