Publisher Description
Jamie and Andrew are strangers, but they're two of the last people left alive. They don't know what they'll find on their dangerous journey ... but they may just find each other. A queer romance about courage, hope and humanity for fans of They Both Die at the End, The Hunger Games and Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
When the Superflu wipes out most of the population, Jamie finds himself completely alone in a cabin in the woods - until an injured stranger crosses his path.
Life is dangerous now and, armed with a gun, Jamie goes to pull the trigger. But there's something about Andrew ... something that stops Jamie in his tracks. Jamie takes him in, and as Andrew heals and they eventually step out into the strange new world, their relationship starts to feel like more than just friendship ...
But trouble isn't far behind. As the boys make a perilous journey south, they'll come face to face with a world torn apart and society in ruins. And who, or what, will they find waiting for them at the end of it all?

An Adorable and Thrilling Adventure
This type of book is something I’ve been waiting for - a post apocalyptic adventure with a queer protagonist (well, two of them!). It’s funny, adorable, thrilling, and tugs on the heart strings in the right ways.
It explores some heavy themes around grief and ethics but without getting too dark - it’s mostly just a thrilling and fun ride! Highly recommend.
Heart eye emoji all the way
The characters and storyline is written so sweetly that I’ll be in love with these characters for a long time. I have a list of books that I love and will happily re-read. This one makes the list!
READ. THIS. BOOK.
Love love love!! Cried, cried some more and crying now its over. Jamie and Andrew where the only people I could think about in the 8 days I was reading this book. I stayed awake at night to finish chapters. Definitely recommend, through the whole time reading I actually wanted to continue, I physically couldn’t stop, its all any of my friends head me talking about. I don’t know how to turn my opinion of this book into words. Read. This. Book. Worst part of this book IS THAT IT IS SO SHORT waiting for the sequel ✊-from the perspective of a teenage girl

WHEN JAMIE GOT SHOT I WAS SHAKING AND CRYING. IF HE DIED I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN THE SAME I WAS WAY TO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED.
