Publisher Description
Animal Farm is an allegorical novella by George Orwell, first published in England on 17 August 1945. The book tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, however, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.

HomeSchool Reading
This was great to read for the end of our homeschool year. We read together and acted out many scenes using animal toys and play dough. It spurred many discussions. Next year we will look into the author, the influence and assistance from his spouse, and many of the political allegories.
Well worth our time.
Astonishing!
Great read with even greater relevance in today’s society. Really puts things into perspective and enhances the imagination of anyone who reads this fascinating book.
Masterpiece
After all these years, this novel is still as relevant as when it was written.
