Superbly written
I DEVOURED this book. It was so well written, intense and hot and wrong and so so right. These were two seriously deep characters that I loved the slow reveals of. They were so capable in their own ways. The book was intelligently written and I could not put it down. Absolutely brilliant.
Loved it!
Heart stopping, thrilling, intense and passionate; totally captivating from the first word to the last. I found myself on the edge of my seat and holding my breath throughout the book.
Hugo is a retired assassin and super mercenary, his created persona, mask wearing Kabakas, kills with knives and Barong blades. He is believed to be dead and has been wrongly implicated in a terrible massacre.
Zelda is a forensic botanist, retired CIA field agent, who now helps head up the powerful and secretive Association. She is protecting her twin sister whilst trying to gain information on a drug cartel. Things don't go as planned and she finds herself in a perilous situation.
They're two people who have a connection, a destiny together, who find each other in the most dangerous and deadly of situations.
The story starts in Miami, then quickly moves to Bueno Vista, Valencia, South America, with a few stops in between, which I feel enhances the overall feel of adventure, excitement and danger of the story.
To say I loved this book, would be an understatement, as much as I love, it's companions this book is my favourite.
