Chasing River by K.A Tucker is the third book in the Burying Water Series. K.A’s writing is addictive, each story is real and raw with so many touching moments. This is a beautiful story of two people whose lives and hearts collide and the journey of the split second decision that brought them together. Chasing River is filled with mystery, angst and love that will have you glued to the pages wanting to know more.
Amber Wells has lived a simple quiet life as a nurse in the small country town she group in. Her dream is to travel, she embarks with a list of places to see and things to do, what she didn't expect to experience was a near death experience in Ireland. Lucky enough for Amber a stranger came to her rescue knocking her flat on her back. The gorgeous eyes staring back at her are quickly making sure she is ok before disappearing. Amber can't get her saviour out of her head, she is drawn to him and wanting to track him down.
River Delany works hard and runs the family pub with his younger brother. He has made some mistakes in the past but he's a good person, a caring person who is fiercely protective of his family. He may be a good person but his older brother is not. River is stuck in a rock and a hard place, protect his family or do what is right...
His world is turned upside down the day he came to the rescue of a gorgeous American tourist. A tourist he never expected to see again until she shows up in his pub. Because of his brother he is hesitant about her, but he can't stay away from her…
River is so swoon worthy, yes he has a past but he is a good guy with a huge caring heart, the love for those he protects is beautiful. He knows he is no good for Amber but it doesn't stop him from trying. Amber is a great character, she always tries to do the right thing, especially when it comes to the law. Together Amber and River are two loveable characters whose journey together will pull you in and keep you enthralled. The one thing I loved about this book was the history and information about Ireland incorporated with Amber and River’s story.
This series is highly recommended, it has fast become one of our favourites.
