Cordish, Niagara Falls Six Demanding Action As Dyster Looks the Other Way: Festering Problems of Discrimination, Development Boil over (Analysis‪)‬

Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster found himself confronted last week by a pair of hard problems for which his off-putting managerial style seems spectacularly inappropriate: a major and widely publicized hate crime that will undoubtedly benefit the plaintiffs in the $36 million Niagara Falls Six discrimination lawsuit here, and the filing of another suit by Baltimore developer David Cordish, charging the city itself with responsibility for the conditions that have made the Rainbow Mall the abandoned eyesore that it is. In both cases, Dyster has had nine months to address the problems. And in both cases, the problems have grown worse since he took office last January.
