Croc's Return

I love the idea of having a swamp monster stalking the residents of Bitten Point. So cool. The characters and story were great - but I found it a bit hard to love the hero being a croc-shifter.
Still, a good read and I did enjoy it.

This author is the champion of shifter writers! Croc’s Return has everything you could look for in a shifter romance and even more, just to keep you enthralled. There’s a bad guy like you’ve never seen, a love match that was lost and found, lots of little shifters and characters that almost leap off the page. And lovemaking, woah. And humour that sneaks in and makes you giggle. I loved it! Eve Langlais strikes again.

Caleb left suddenly without any notice. Over four years he's been away and he's changed and been through a lot of negative times. Worried about seeing his mum again after their less then joyous departure he returns home with a lot of doubts.
Renny loved him once, at least she keeps telling herself it was past tense. Luke is more than enough to keep her busy. But suddenly he's back after denying their existence for the last four years. Renny is determined to keep him away from them both.

A second chance at love, this story was a lovely read. Mistakes, manipulations and misunderstandings have made life difficult for both Renny and Caleb. Renny is a strong female and one woman you should not cross. She's got a backbone, as well as a pride that can lead to her causing her own problems but through it all she doesn't back down. Caleb is a broken man, struggling from the horrors he's seen while serving overseas. But he's determined to be the best man he can now he's out and away from the manipulations of others.
