A WINNER FROM START TO FINISH
Ms. Moore is fast becoming one of my favorite authors for her creativity and descriptive writing style. This story will keep you captivated. It includes new beginnings, romance, discipline, and danger. I was so happy that there was a sequel, as it was obvious that Shannon and Bryant's story needed be told.
There are many subtle moments within this story that capture the depth of emotions between Shannon and Bryant. I loved the push and pull and the candid portrayal of their relationship. Shannon was sassy, feisty, and quick with a retort. She hid her pain
behind a veil of indifference, denying herself the relationship she yearned for. She struggled with Bryant’s rules but understood that freedom came from submission. Shannon was torn between obedience and defiance, which is why she found herself over Bryant’s knees so often. I felt sorry for the little girl within Shannon fighting for the opportunity to let go of her pain.
Bryant was dominant and protective in his relationship with Shannon. He wanted the entire package, including her love and submission. A little girl to call his own, but he got a spitfire. Bryant was aware of Shannon’s past trauma and was determined totake away her pain and twist it into pleasure. It took reassurance and his hard to win her trust.
What I liked about this story was how the author showed the internal struggles of this couple as they worked their way through a maze of emotions. The characters were likable and believable. The storyline was entertaining. A win-win situation. Throw in spankings and you have one happy reader.
