Demon Unbound
Demon bound is an epic new series by Jenn Stark. If you’ve read her previous books with Sara Wilde, you’re going to love this new series.
It’s completely different from the Connected world but focuses on a character who we’ve met in previous book, Warrick. Fallen angel and Demon, he and his band of other demons, the Syx have come through the magical plain and are called to help humans that call for them. They are also manipulated by the ultimate Puppet Master The Hierophant who seems to hold the key to their salvation.
To help Warrick along the way he meets Maria, an undercover officer who is trying to find the truth about how her young cousin was killed many years ago as well as finding it about the new drugs which seem to be population America. Maria is feisty but also has an air of vulnerability about her which makes her such a likable character. She, as well as Warrick seem to have been through so much in their lives and although they sometimes question the good, they fight for everything they have and make no apologies for it!
This story is action packed, it has some biblical background knowledge but it definitely makes the story and you understand what makes Warrick and the rest of the Syx who they are. There are also some very steamy moments between Warrick and Maria and a pop up from one of my favourite characters Nikki as well as being introduced to more of the Syx. ( I’m very interested in hearing their story)
The story just pulls you along with such amazing description, you feel like you’re standing right in the middle of the action.
If this is the start to Ms. Stark’s new series, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series is going to bring. If you haven’t read previous book yet, that what you need to go and do...right now!
