GREAT
This story gave us the true reason behind family. To stick together and support and stick up for the other. This was personified through Cameron and Ruben and their devotion for each others wellbeing. Nothing stopped them from helping each other and even branching off to help other struggling members of their family as well, like the father or Sarah who were not in great positions at the time. This understanding was given by their mother who was strong, truly resembling motherly strength and not only spotlighting the father as the strong persona. It had me immersed in the book with the huge and deep description of their feelings and everything that was happening around them. It was fairly ironic how Cameron idolised Ruben, not realising that that feeling was mutual between the two. Ruben saw Cameron for who he was, not how successful, a big hearted person who did not give up, even when times got extremely tough.
Amazing
This book had me start reading again. With the story of 2 brothers who’s lives aren’t the best due to their father being injured and not able to work. They fight and box in the backyard all the time. Soon enough this man gets them to fight in his boxing division. A show of heart and strength. Heart in which Cameron and strength in which Ruben. Sad and happy times, heartbreaking moments and all down to the final fight for Cameron. Cameron vs Ruben. Truely amazing book!! Definitely recommend.
