Publisher Description
Why do forbidden flames always seem to burn brightest?
Daphne Calloway is off limits. Our families have been bitter rivals for years. I shouldn’t want her.
But I do.
Which is why I bid on her at the bachelorette auction. Letting some other guy get his hands on her was…unthinkable.
Then she suggested our date take place in a hot tub and everything got harder. Literally.
See, as a single mom with a new business, Daphne was in desperate need of a fun, sexy, one-night stand—and I was more than happy to deliver. That should’ve been the end of it.
Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.
Because now that I know how amazing she truly is, now that I’ve started fantasizing about being there for her and her daughter in a happily-ever-after kind of way, I have a huge problem.
Choosing Daphne could cost me everything I’ve been working so hard for. What remains to be seen is whether any of it will be worth a damn thing if I lose her…

Heartwarming and entertaining
The Monroe family feel like friends and I love catching up with them so as soon as Forbidden Flame (The Monroe Brothers #6) hit my kindle I dived right in. This is Daphne and Cole’s story and it’s the perfect addition to this great series. Cole should never have bid on Daphne at the charity auction because her family are the sworn enemies of the Monroe’s. But something made him start bidding and there was no stopping him until he had won the single mum from the competing Christmas Tree Farm. Daphne isn’t really involved with the farm she spends her time making pies and she has branched out with her business and made friends with the Monroe brother’s partners. Problem is will the Monroe’s ever accept the enemy into their fold. One Click now to find out. I loved everything about this book and I have to say it’s my favourite S far in this wonderful series. I loved watching Cole become first Daphne and her daughter Izzy’s friend before taking the next step. This is a beautifully written romance that’s perfect to curl up with on a gloomy day because Im sure like me you will be left smiling and swooning.
Loved it
I love my visits to the Monroe Family and couldn’t wait to jump into Forbidden Flame which is Daphne and Cole’s story and it was a fabulous addition to the series.
I enjoy Ms. Coll’s writing style, she is one of the best in the small town genres in my opinion. We have met these two before and I could not wait to see what Lea Coll had in store for this couple.
When Cole bids on Daphne at the charity auction he has no idea what he has set in motion. Daphne, a single mum, works at the Monroe’s competing Christmas Tree Farm and has started a pie making business. She has a lot on her plate and the last thing she needs in her life is a man, especially Cole.
I was totally invested in their story and I loved how she brought out the softer side of Cole. His relationship with Izzy was heartwarming and melted my heart. In fact Izzy nearly stole the book out from under Daphne and Cole.
This book is a little gem and I loved everything about it.
