Love everything about it
I don't think I've ever read a book where the characters have embedded themselves into my soul as quickly as Carrie and Edwin did. It usually takes a while for me to become familiar with them, empathise with them, love them. But with these two it was like they were already there, nestled in my heart, waiting to tell their story.
I felt equal parts protective over and smitten with both Carrie and Edwin. Their strengths balance each other, as do their weaknesses. Their personalities in lock step.
This book is in the centre of my wheelhouse. Sarcastic, moving, angry and kind. Restive, funny, poignant and charismatic. I think I'm going to go read it again.
