I, Human Part One: The New Renaissance
I, Human, I
Publisher Description
Attention lovers of serious fantasy and science fiction. For your consideration, a fantasy/scifi epic that will take you to the boundaries of the galaxy, where good and evil battle it out on the physical and metaphysical planes.
I, Human is a thought-provoking epic fantasy-science fiction series incorporating elements of the paranormal, philosophy, and humor. The series is for those who like to ponder exciting ideas and who enjoy an epic story along the way.
Come on a quest of discovery and adventure as Captain Magnusson, Padre, Vlen, Astra, Ambassador Legari, and others onboard the star carrier Veda explore multi-dimensional worlds and alternate realities.
In part one, the epic starts at a leisurely pace, with little action but rich in ideas and potential. Accordingly, the space opera gains momentum with each component added. In my fashion, I endeavor to create credible characters and their universe using a robust framework to mount exciting and compelling ideas.
Altogether, eighty-five chapters are in the first volume, with the second volume beginning at part eight, chapter eighty-six.
The series is dedicated to people of goodwill, and all kindred spirits, past, present, and future.
Customer Reviews
Nice start to a great epic.
This is nice introduction to a great fantasy scifi series, so no great shakes in this part of the story. However, the rest of the series is brilliant, IMHO. If you enjoy a deep POV perspective where you feel you are the character, and interesting concepts then, this series is for you.
Too much info dump
I got bored and stopped reading before the end of the first chapter. Veii does say it's a slow start, but there's a difference between slow and it being a boring info dump. The narrating 1st person character starts off by describing himself, his planet, his solar system, his friend's place, the physics of how he can levitate, etc.
Maybe the rest of the book is better, but there just wasn't anything that grabbed me and pushed me on to get there.
The beginning of an epic journey into fantasy and Scifi
The first book in the series begins slowly, but with each book added the series becomes more and more interesting and energetic.
