Harper Chase has always counted on taking over the Rebels, the bottom-of-the-league team owned by her father, Stanley Cup winning hockey player Clifford Chase. But when Cliff dies of a massive heart attack, Harper is shocked to learn that his will specifies that Harper must run the team with her half-sisters, Isobel and Violet. Hockey player Remy DuPre, a Southern boy with weaknesses for gumbo and women, isn't thrilled about being traded to the Rebels, so he makes a deal with Harper: he'll give the Rebels his all for several months, after which she'll allow him to move to a more successful team. At first Remy only sees Harper as a ball-buster, but he soon discovers that her strong facade hides a multitude of hurts. As Remy and Harper fall for each other, they ignore the inevitable question: what happens when Remy transfers? Meader's strength is creating characters who live, breathe, and jump off the page; Remy and Harper shine, and the supporting cast of characters, including Harper's half-sisters, is very strong. The mix of sexual tension and emotional decisions will lead Meader's series launch to many a keeper shelf.

Loooved this book
There were so many brilliant touches to this book. The abbreviations that made it real, obvs my favourite. I loved that it was written in actual thought mode, not prefect prose but perfect nonetheless. The subtle changes throughout the novel that showed relationships getting closer, it was utter brilliance. The characters were incredibly written and I loved the main protagonists. A feminist author in the romance genre is what I’ve been hanging for, I absolutely loved this book and I am well and truly hooked on this author.

Great Start to a new series
Omg what a fantastic introduction to a new author and I’m really struggling to understand why I haven’t read anything by Kate Meader before.
Irresistible You is is the first full length book in the Chicago Rebels Series and this series features 3 estranged sisters who have been left their fathers struggling Hockey franchise, problem is one of the terms of the will is they all work together...
Harper Chase has always been her fathers second in command and this is her dream job, she will do what ever she needs to make this team successful, the first thing she does is buy veteran center Remy DuPre who is coming to the end of his career but he akso has one a dream and that’s to get a Stanley Cup win can these two help each other or are the odds stacked against them...
What a great start to what looks like a brilliant series, the characters are strong and have depth and the storyline is believable, I laughed and I cried and did I mention it’s also one hot sizzling read. I can’t wait to read more about the Chase sisters and the Chicago Rebels and I will certainly be checking out previous books by this author.
