Kidnapped and Catriona

Robert Louis Stevenson was one of the greatest authors of the nineteenth century.  Stevenson still ranks as one of the most translated authors in history.  Classic books such as Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are still widely read today and have been made into many critically acclaimed films throughout the years.

Kidnapped is a historical adventure novel that is set in Scotland after the Jacobite rising of 1745.  Many of the characters in the novel were based off real historical figures.

Catriona is the sequel to the novel Kidnapped.  The book begins exactly where Kidnapped ended.
