Treasure island
The best ever pirate novel, written with blood and thunder. Ah haarrrr!
This book is amazing
You should really read treasure island it has action, adventure and mystery it has a good ending
Painful
Okay, so it was my first classic. I am grateful. Classics obviously are known for words of incessant length and dated phrases. This however felt less dated and more in character. The dialogue was that of pirates, so in that regard I was okay and it read fine. But good god people edit, while not quite Victor Hugo in his need to overly describe the scenery of the Parisian catacombs, this was a little Tolkien-esque in its verbosement. I get it, but five words would have worked why you twenty?
Also changing POV for no reason whatsoever.
It just dragged, and I will be avoiding classics for a while.
Just watch Treasure Planet, it’s better.
