A perennial favourite
What a pleasure to find this again! I read it first as a child, loved it, and read it to both my parents. Then, as an adult, I read it many times to my school students, as I taught elementary school for many decades. Now as a grandmother, I'm reading it again from my electronic device to my grandchildren. A timeless classic of life in the far off age of self reliance.
