WHERE DO YOU GO WHEN YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR?
Fatal Attraction meets The Talented Mr Ripley, soon to be a major Hollywood film - prepare for this year's The Girl on the Train
"Riveting . . . One of the most memorable females in recent fiction" Amy Pascal, Columbia Pictures Producer
By day, Judith Rashleigh is a put-upon assistant at a London auction house.
By night she's a hostess in one of the capital's unsavoury bars.
Desperate to make something of herself, Judith knows she has to play the game. She's learned to dress, speak and act in the interests of men. She's learned to be a good girl. But after uncovering a dark secret at the heart of the art world, Judith is fired and her dreams of a better life are torn apart.
So she turns to a long-neglected friend.
A friend that kept her chin up and back straight through every past slight.
A friend that a good girl like her shouldn't have: Rage.
The Talented Mr Ripley meets Gone Girl in this darkly decadent and compelling new thriller that asks:
Where do you go when you've gone too far?
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We are hooked on Maestra, the first book in a new trilogy. The novel’s intelligent, pathologically independent, kinky and predatory heroine is Judith Rashleigh, who’s attempting to escape her impoverished Liverpool upbringing and crack into the upper echelons of London’s fine-art business. After a series of dodgy choices sets Judith’s career back, she embarks on a cross-European journey of deception and reinvention that becomes more twisted and transgressive at every turn. Author L. S. Hilton sold the film rights to her series before this first instalment was even finished. We’re telling all our friends about this dark, racy tale about a woman’s raging rampage against a man’s world.
Customer Reviews
Boring
Sum what disappointed with this book not really that much in it once you get past all the chit chat about art works and her fantasy of becoming something there's very little left. As for licking a finger after it was stuck up her rectum seriously did that need to be put in it. Give me fifty shades any day
Awesome
Couldn't put it down. Erotic parts bit graphic. Can't wait for the next book.
Maestra
Is this book trying to outdo 50 Shades of Grey or is it a thriller. To be honest I found the story line very weak. Something hashed together to give an excuse to write erotica or soft porn. It is very rare for me not to finish a book but after a little over half way through, I didn't have the stomach to finish this book. A waste of $14.99. I have to give this one star to submit my review but it doesn't warrant a single star.
