Thea Fox is just twelve years old when her parents are brutally slain. With Thea's help the police are able to put their murderer - a psychotic serial killer called Ray Riggs - behind bars for life. Changed forever, Thea slowly learns to come to terms with the events of that terrible night and builds a new life in a small country town where she can breathe in the smells of pine, fresh bread and her grandmother's homemade candles.
But the connection that helped Thea put her parents' killer behind bars will come to haunt her. Though her Grandmother calls it a gift, to Thea it feels more like a curse because Ray feels the connection too and though Thea may try to move on, Ray isn't willing to let her go quite so easily...
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bestseller Roberts (Inheritance) returns with a busy supernatural thriller that stuffs in romance, murder, telekinesis, and a few handy tips on candle-making. When Thea Fox is 12 years old, her parents drive her and her brother to their grandmother Lucy's bucolic Kentucky farm for a two-week stay. The night they arrive, Thea and Lucy are awakened by the same dream in which Thea's parents are brutally murdered. The next morning, their joint nightmare comes true, and Thea's vivid description of the dream helps the police track down the killer, Ray Riggs, who's swiftly arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life in a maximum-security prison. As Thea grows up on Lucy's farm, launches her career as a video game designer, and meets the love of her life, she remains haunted by psychic episodes similar to the one she and her grandmother shared—especially when Riggs starts infiltrating those episodes and forcing Thea to witness his own dark thoughts. Will she be able to shake his presence without meeting him face-to-face? Die-hard Roberts fans will get what they came for: there's no shortage of romance, cliffhangers, or cottage-core rhapsodizing on offer. Those elements wind up fighting for space, however, and the plot never really catches fire. This is unlikely to win Roberts many new admirers.

Amazing
The storyline was such a new angle. It kept you guessing what would happen next, happy , sad close to tears.
Well done
Mind Games
It’s been a while since I have found myself so completely and utterly immersed in a book that I struggled to put it down and found myself reading every moment I could find even a minute spare but this book reminded me how that feels
It reminded me what it’s like to be so invested in the characters that you can hear, see and feel them, that their happiness becomes yours and their devastation breaks your heart.
My only criticism, I didn’t want it to end!
Sensational
This book is probably one of the best by Nora yet. It grabbed me right from the start and I couldn’t stop until I’d finished it. Emotionally invested like I’ve never been with a book before, this is an incredible story and I absolutely loved it!
