This is,I think,the greatest piece of literature Australia has ever produced. It probably won't rate as highly with the literary intelligencia as such things as "Such is Life" or "Robbery Under Arms" because to really appreciate the fullness of this book, to understand all thats said as well as all that isn't said, you must have lived the life.
This book is a memorial to the bush families who struggled to make a living in a country which expects a lot from its people. You will, first laugh and then cry over the very same passage as it takes you to memories and situations in your own life that seem to mirror exactly what Steel Rudd has written.
I hope the bush never dies out but if it does we will always have "On Our Selection"

Great Australian classic and worth reading. Highly recommend you download this one. Please correct all the incorrectly written contractions. They are off putting!
