Publisher Description

ABSTRACT This study explores progressive management practices (selective hiring, extensive training, employment security, self-management teams and decentralization, comparatively high compensation contingent on organizational performance, reduction of status differences, and sharing information) that treat employees as the most valuable asset. The study also investigates the impact of these management practices on the future performance of organizations (return on assets, return on sales, sales growth, and earning per share). The results of this study indicate that selective hiring, extensive training, comparatively high compensation contingent on organizational performance, and sharing information have significant and positive effects on the future performance of organizations.
