A captive who dreams of her freedom
In public, violinist Elizabeth Duncan is the toast of the entertainment world. A prodigy who's been wowing audiences with her music since she was only twelve years old. But behind closed doors, she's desperate to escape the man who's turned her passion into a prison. When the specter of violence becomes more than a threat, she sacrifices everything to run.
A hero lost without a mission
Former special forces operative Ewan McBride has done everything he's supposed to since leaving the military: Moved home. Bought a new business. Integrated into the community. But he's just going through the motions. Until he rescues a woman in trouble in the midst of a terrible storm.
A sanctuary and an unexpected new beginning
Ewan recognizes a woman on the run and can't resist the urge to help. The danger from her past is certain to come calling. The safest place for her? With him. But as they live and work together, what starts as a self-appointed protective detail becomes so much more. With her, he finds his own safe place to land. But when their fragile fresh start is threatened, he'll do anything to protect her.
Protector in a Kilt
Another great story by Kait, a protective Scottish ex military man, a troubled young woman, all the ingredients for a great read.
The characters from previous books in the mix adds to the suspense and intrigue of this book.
Can’t wait for the next in the series
Love a kilt!
Loved this book! Fantastic story to continue the Kilt series. Wonderful characters and story line as always from Kait Nolan.
I could not wait to dive into the latest book in the Kilted Hearts series. Protector In A Kilt was everything I was hoping for and so much more. It was an entertaining read that ticked all the boxes for me.
This is former special forces operative Ewan McBride and the woman who claimed his heart, violinist Elizabeth (aka Isobel) Duncan’s story.
From the outside looking in, it appears that Elizabeth as the world at her feet and yet all is not as it seems. Finding Elizabeth running for her life, Ewan knows he will risk everything to protect her and keep her safe.
As the get to know one another, lines will be crossed and it was wonderful to watch as the love grew between Ewan and Isobel. When danger comes to them Ewan will do whatever he has to do keep her safe.
One of the things I love about this series is that although our heroes are gruff, often grumpy, underneath they have a heart of gold and when they fall in love, they fall deeply.
It was wonderful being in Glenlaig, Scotland, at the Stag's Head and with the wonderful McBride family and their friends.
