A great read about one of the craziest days in Australia’s history. Personal memoirs and facts are woven together to tell this story that needed to be told.
A novel for the next generation
SOTS was a gripping read that had everything a good coming of age novel should have. Batman taps into the Shire's surf culture in a way only a local can.
This is where the future of young adult fiction lies. SOTS is raw, unapologetic and hard hitting. But more importantly, it's a great read. I couldn't put this book down.
Being an old esky lid train billie myself from the early 90's, this was a great story to sink into and brought back a few memories. An excellent first up effort and I look forward to more great stories by Sean Batman 👍.
