Heartachingly tender
This. Book.
I thought at first it was going to be a ‘Normal People’-esque devastation but I’m so very glad it ends up being much more. I love and connected with these characters and their story. Daverley has crafted such real and tender souls, whole, broken and yearning. She has a gorgeous way of writing, saying and not saying things.
An attempt to recreate normal people
I was really hoping to love this book and stuck with it - it doesn’t get any better. It is an attempt to recreate a normal people esque, decade long romance, which fails.
