APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Paige Toon is back with another tantalising read. Spanning Australia, the UK and Thailand, this story follows travel journalist Bridget, who’s preparing to write a novel about her exes and their unworthy claims for her affections. But Bridget’s plans are derailed when a best-selling author dies and Bridget is asked to ghostwrite the remainder of her unfinished book, throwing her together with the dead woman’s widower and daughter. Toon explores the unfolding relationships with grace and realism, creating a tender, absorbing story of love and loss.

Fantastic book
Absolutely loved Bridget and Charlie’s story. It was so heart warming and I loved getting to know Bridget better.
I was enraptured reading all about the beautiful places Bridget went to and I’d love to visit both Cornwall and Thailand one day. Especially all the beaches.
I just adored how Bridget felt about April. Their relationship was a real highlight of the book.
I’m devastated this was my last first read with all the intertwining characters but I’m looking forward to rereading them all.
I’d highly recommend the last piece of my heart.
Loved it! But...
Honestly the beginning and the middle were amazing! At times it felt a little predictable but not in a way that I wasn't happy to read. However, the ending felt so rushed. One minute it had heightened in climax, and the next, it was over. Would have loved for more character depth for Isak, Alain, Valerie and Kate. Would have been amazing to know why they were the way they were as it seemed to be what was coming based on the story's arc. However, I'm sucker for a love story so I loved it all the same - just think it was over a little too quickly!
