Ok, but not great
Needs MAJOR editing!
Expected more to happen In all of the stories. No relationship drama per se, but other things like stuff in the Guys jobs on the Task Force. I wanted to see some more nail biting tension like there is in Bk 5, but these three all built it only for it so fall completely flat and taper off at the end. There was massive build up (especially in Bk3) only for the resolution to be easy as and pass by like all the tension built up over the course of the book was a red-herring to throw you off the easy solution ending.
Also Bk 3 just proved the whole timeline of this series is a big mess. I mean I could barely keep up with all the stuff going on because time was passing but it wasn’t properly marked you’s think only a day of so had passed then there would be a passage that said “so many MONTHS have passed since…”. And the tense in when stuff was happening changed too. Also there was a discrepancy in the eye colour of Ryan in Bk1 99% of the book said his eyes were brown, but there was one instance where it said green.
They were good stories if you like to see the development of a relationship between two people who know what they want their relationship to be. There’s no messing about which a nice change as opposed to all the stories where the two characters are stuck in mutual pining but live in complete denial until their hormones force them into a couple and then sh*t hits the fan and suddenly they’re in love. This was something a little different that I would LOVE to see in more romance books.
