An entertaining read

Reminiscent of a Jackie Collins novel, The Rise definitely fills the void left by Collins and is your next guilty pleasure! Glitz, glamour, deception, scandal, secrets and mystery, this book has it all!
An inside look into the lives of the rich and famous, against a backdrop setting of LA in the present and Glasgow in the past, the two world’s collide when a long buried secret from 20 years ago, kept between three once inseparable friends, threatens to be exposed and ruin everything they have worked for.
The characters are well formed and developed and each play the role they have been given well. The narrative alternates between the three, which I enjoyed getting their individual perspectives.
I liked the writing style of the authors and although it is a slow burn to begin with it, does ramp up making for a more gripping and suspenseful read. All up this is an entertaining story and I look forward to reading more from from the authors.
