A New York Times bestseller
Grace Sachs, a happily married therapist with a young son, thinks she knows everything about women, men and marriage. She is about to publish a book called You Should Have Known, based on her pet theory: women don't value their intuition about men, leading to serious trouble later on.
But how well does Grace know her own husband? She is about to find out, and in the place of what she thought she knew, there will be a violent death, a missing husband, and a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a very public disaster, and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for herself and her child.

Disturbing & Twisty
Took a little while to get into it but then it was a great read. Didn’t want to put it down.

A very good read. I started watching the tv series and didn’t like it at all. I like Nicole Kidman but she really can’t act and poor old Hugh Grant looked dreadful in all that makeup, although in his younger days he would have fitted the part perfectly. So just out of interest I looked up the author and bought the book. I enjoyed the fact that she was a therapist writing a book on how people should be able to know what their partner was really like and yet she had no idea. A nicely written, good story.
Book of sad truths.
As a person who works in a professional with people like those characterised in this book; I found this book provided an incredible insight into the psychology of a victim of an intimate partners coercive and controlling behaviour. A terrific read, which may require some self care/ self awareness for those who are victim survivors or work in the sector. Thank you for taking the time to write this book.
