On the surface, Dr. David Jansen is perfect husband material. Movie-star handsome. A brilliant engineer. Protective and careful of his fiancee's feelings. Okay, maybe just a tad too careful. Paige Lawrence just can't shake the feeling that he's holding a part of himself back when he makes love to her. Worse, that she's just not woman enough to shatter his iron control.

When David flies to France to attend a symposium and suggests Paige join him the following week, she makes the trip miserable and fully intending to break their engagement.
