Lighthearted and Fun
Lucy Anne Holmes is the QUEEN of Chick-lit; she manages to write characters who are entirely relatable and loveable and draw you into a believable and enjoyable narrative. Lucy intersperses sorrow among the humour to make her novels a thoughtful read, as opposed to the myriad of chick-lit fodder we are fed which has as much substance as a used tissue.
I loved how in this novel in particular, Lucy weaved well known music throughout the storyline to give her character some body; it made the character endearing as I sang along :-)
Wonderful lighthearted read!! Thoroughly recommended!
